I’m a gardener too | Royersford, Collegeville Lifestyle Photographer

See those? My kids and I grew them and we’re going to eat them for dinner. I will confess, when I first started this garden thing I thought for sure I’d kill everything and the kids would make fun of me.

I was really wrong.

I have 4-5 feet sunflowers, green peppers, orange peppers, green beans, strawberries, onions, lettuce, carrots, cilantro, basil, rosemary, watermelon, potatoes and a tomato and they’re all alive. Some from seeds, others from plants but still something me and the kids did together.

I will also confess, I spend a LOT of time out there. I like to take my camera and snap the progression. I like to pull the weird and watch all the plants grow. I feel like I am doing something good and pure and lately for me, that’s a really good thing. A really really good thing.

Someday I’d like to start a community garden. I am not sure where or how but I’d love to grow food to feed people. Feed their hunger and their hearts. I wish I helped people more. I think that’s why I loved the Becky Higgin’s Giveaway. I think that’s one of the reasons I love photography. I feel like I am giving someone something.

I love my garden. I am grateful for the “getaway”. I am grateful…

It's a new baby a comin'- North Whales, Colmar, Lansdale Family and Maternity Photographer

I have to tell you, these are some of the cutest kids I have ever met. Their personalities are just so lovable and fun. You can tell how much their family loves them. The new baby? Lucky. He or she is already loved so much!

Tiny little baby belly! I can hardly believe she is 35 weeks! Thank you guys for a great day! I can’t wait to meet your little one! I am sure he or she is gonna be just as amazing as the rest of the family!

What an honor- Philadelphia Family Photographer

Yesterday an article I wrote was published at MCP’s Blog. To me, this is a BIG honor and I couldn’t feel anymore giddy about it. I hope you pop over and read it if you haven’t already.

Journey to Becoming a Professional Photographer

Photography has been an amazing journey for me. It’s taught me so much about myself. It’s brought out good and it has brought out bad but it’s helped me find pieces of myself that I was missing and I will forever be grateful for that.

Pennsylvania has brought a whole new world. Anyone who knew me in Colorado will tell you I SWORE I’d never go Canon and I did, I SWORE I’d never shooting weddings and I do.

Things change. It’s the beauty of this life.

I’ve changed a lot and I am growing and I hope I continue to grow.

I hope you’ll grow with me.

My goal now is to write more instead of just posting photos. Why shouldn’t this job I love so much be personal too.

It’s a great job afterall. Perks and all.

This weekend I got to 2nd shoot with a dear friend again. She has helped me tremendously through the last few months. I swore she was gonna fire me after the first failed attempt at indoor light but she didn’t and she keeps helping me a long the way.

I’m so incredibly proud to be her gofer, her camel. I couldn’t ask for a better gig. And now as I start to take on my own weddings, I truly hope and pray she will be the one by my side. That’s what friends are for. I wish everyone could see it that way. Local=friends. I have made mistakes about that in the past.

Anyway, here is a few from the wedding.

And check out Carley’s site. She’s amazing. I am so impressed with her and proud to call her my friend.

Photographers Meet Up- Philadelphia Family Photographer

We had a little meet up of local photographers in my neck of the woods this weekend. It was a total blast and I even ended up with a few shots of my family! I will post those soon!

I wish I could meet monthly, hey maybe that’s an idea… anyone interested in a photo “club”. Be nice to get out with a few friends now and again!

Thanks for letting me share!!
